More than two decades later, through the Joe Kaufman Security Initiative, that vow remains strong.

Stopping Extremism in Our Own Backyard

Shutting Down the 2024 Florida Muslim Conference

When Hamas supporters tried to bring their message of hate to Coral Springs, Florida, we took action.

Kaufman Security worked with Jewish and Hindu community leaders and presented a 30-page intelligence report to the Marriott Hotel, detailing the extremist ties of the event’s organizers and speakers who glorified Hamas’s October 7 massacre.
The result: the Marriott canceled the event.

This showed that determined citizens, armed with facts, can protect their communities from hate.

Standing Strong Against Retaliation

In 2025, Hamas-linked groups — including CAIR and the South Florida Muslim Federation — tried to retaliate by suing Joe Kaufman and our nonprofit, accusing us of “Islamophobia.”

We fought back — and won. The case was dismissed. A clear victory for truth and free speech.

Fighting Antisemitism in South Florida

When antisemitic activist Naima Khan-Ghani sat on two Broward County School Board committees, we exposed her hateful social media posts calling Jews “Satanic” and mocking Israel’s right to defend itself.
She was removed.

Exposing the 2025 Conference

Even after we stopped the 2024 conference, extremists regrouped.
In 2025, they came back to Coral Springs — this time using a city-owned facility.

Our investigation revealed that the event sold merchandise featuring Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind of October 7.

By shining a light on this, we’re keeping our neighborhoods and families safe from hate.

For more than 20 years, Joe Kaufman has stood on the front lines of counter-terrorism:

• Helped shut down terror-linked charities funneling      funds to extremists.
• Worked with law enforcement to deport or prosecute      radical operatives.
• Provided intelligence that helped prevent potential      attacks.
• Met with the FBI, Homeland Security, and Secret Service      regarding Nidal Mohamed Sakr, a Muslim Brotherhood operative who      threatened President Trump.
• Helped build bridges between Israel and Iranian/Syrian      opposition leaders, weakening the Ayatollah regime and advancing peace in      the Middle East.

• Persuaded Palm Beach School Board Vice Chair Karen      Brill to return an award from the South Florida Muslim Federation.
• Prompted the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections      to remove the terror-linked Islamic Center of Boca Raton as a polling      site.
• Persuaded DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz to      withdraw from an Islamist banquet.
• Shut down the 2024 Hamas-linked conference in Coral      Springs.
• Convinced the Broward County School Board to stop      partnering with CAIR.

Holding Leaders & Institutions Accountable

• Removed Sofian Zakkout, a Hamas supporter who promoted      Holocaust denial, from Miami-Dade anti-crime boards.
• Prompted Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen to return a      questionable donation tied to extremism.
• Exposed Khurrum Wahid, a lawyer for high-profile      terrorists reportedly on a federal watch list, derailing his City      Commission campaign.
• Investigated and exposed former CAIR representative and      Deputy Sheriff Nezar Hamze for conflicts of interest within the Broward      Sheriff’s Office.

Investigating Hate & Terror Ties

• Exposed extremist ties within the Islamic Food and      Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA), prompting corporate reviews.
• Documented CAIR officials and Islamist leaders      promoting antisemitic or pro-Hamas rhetoric.
• Tracked known extremists including Sofian Zakkout,      Hassan Shibly, Hatem Fariz, Ibrahim Dremali, and Nidal Mohamed Sakr,      ensuring public awareness.
• Revealed the case of Ahmad Saleem, a former CAIR      official convicted of soliciting a child for sex.   

Collaborating with Law Enforcement

We regularly brief federal and local agencies — including the FBI, Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, and local police and sheriff’s offices — with intelligence that supports investigations and strengthens community security.

Mobilizing the Public

• Organized a 150-person rally opposing CAIR’s Florida      banquet featuring Rep. Ilhan Omar.
• United Jewish, Christian, and Hindu leaders in a public      stand against antisemitism.
• Published investigations in FrontPage Magazine, Focus      on Western Islamism, and other outlets, bringing sunlight to extremist      networks and protecting our communities.
